Jus a minute. Mr Shastri!

No. This is not about Mr Suresh Shastri and his runouts controversies. Its actually about the person commenting on, literally, everything under the floodlights, Mr Ravi Shastri.

In spite of kerchief-clad-cheer-leaders controversies, a 'balle balle' punju slapping the 'youngistan' punju and Mum Indians (to be read sachin) making Mukesh Ambi's belly dancing to their last-ball-losses, IPL, indeed, seemed to score over mom's serials.

May 27th 2008.
A critical match was going on between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. I am sure Viru & Co wud have chewed his whole finger by the time the MI royally lost to RR.

During the match, Mr Shastri was busy 'blabla'ing something as commentary to the viewers. Now there was a clip of some pretty gal (which in turn shows the MCPism in cameramen. Cant you guys show some handsome guys for our 'sisters' momentary pleasures?) shown in the screen. Mr Shastri, in his usual self, said "The crowd seems to have come in large numbers".

If you think it was a impromptu statement. Well its not. Its almost the Pavlovian conditioning for Mr Shastri to say this sentence (or something similar) whenever there is a sight of a glam gal in the screen.

Mr Shastri, you are a natural eloquent speaker. Agreed. But it is also natural for a guy, whatever be his age, to go speechless for microsecond on seeing 'things'. No one is going to mind if you are going to ogle for a second and do some justice to your job by shutting your mouth.

So when next time someone is shown on TV, please shut up and ogle. Or let others do.

  1. Heheh! Good post this one!
Reminds me of how most men don't want to confess about having ogled ;-)
And then, on the other extreme, how ogling is considered to be a sin ;-)
Well..I dont approve of either extreme, and avoiding all controversy, shall always stick to the middle path ;-)
But yeah..Good post no doubt! Keep posting!
